Nelly Tsvetkova, Ph.D.

I have recently retired from my position of senior staff scientist at a major pharmaceutical company in the Bay Area, where I worked on development and commercial launch of innovative therapeutic drugs. Prior to this role, I was a research scientist at the Center for Biostabilization at the University of California Davis, where I worked on novel technologies for cell preservation. I received my education at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria (M.S. in Biology) and at the National Academy of Sciences (Ph.D. in Biophysics). Throughout my career I worked in the US as well as in other countries which allowed me to navigate between different cultures. I supervised M.S. and Ph.D students, and volunteered my time in onboarding new hires and mentoring junior colleagues.

I have lived in Vallejo since 2005. In my spare time I enjoy reading, outdoor and traveling.
